Life Group Study Questions
1.     Begin by Reading Hebrews 10:1-23.  How did this sermon help you?
2.     Pastor Joe talked about some anchors that we were never meant to carry.  He defined such an anchor as anything that hinders us from growing closer to Jesus and furthering His kingdom.  What anchors might you be carrying that God does not want you to carry?  For example: guilt, fear, love of money, a relationship, a works mentality.
3.     In Hebrews 10:1-23 we read that the Jews were trusting in animal sacrifices to be right with God, but the animal sacrifices were insufficient to make them right with God.  They were only a temporary fix meant to foreshadow Christ.  What are you trusting in to make you “right” with God?  Is it Jesus alone or do you have something in addition to Jesus?  A second metaphorical anchor?
4.     Read Hebrews 10:17-23.  What stands out to you most in this passage?  Why can we approach God so confidently?
5.     In Hebrews 10:22 we read that we can be cleansed from a guilty conscious?  How do we do that?  (Read 1 John 1:8-9 for answer)
6.     In Hebrews 10:23 we read that we are to hold unswervingly to the hope we profess because He is faithful.  How does this passage in Hebrews 10:1-23 illustrate God’s faithfulness?  How does that help you today?
7.     Spend some time sharing about what is going on in your lives and how God is speaking to you.  Then spend some time praying for each other that we can stand fast and hold unswerving to the hope we have in Christ.
8.     Pray for God’s Holy Spirit to be poured out in each other’s life and through OB1.
9.     Pray that as Church we can know and grow in a passionate love for Jesus, reaching thousands and impacting millions with the gospel of Christ.
