Explain to all the life group members (if not already done) that they can watch the sermon online and read the manuscript and get the questions ahead of time. If you have a laptop open it up and show everyone. This will help the life group.
Life Group Questions
1. Begin with prayer asking God to reveal Himself during your life group.
2. How did the Holy Spirit speak to you during the sermon?
3. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 and Galatians 5:25 both infer that it is possible to posses the Holy Spirit but not walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Would you say you are walking in the power of the Spirit of God? What does that look like and how do you do walk in the power of the Holy Spirit?
4. Read Acts 3:1-10. Here we see in this passage that Peter gave what he had not what he didn’t have. What does it practically look like in your life to give “what you have” (Time, Talent, Treasure, Spiritual Gift)? What are some barriers that are keeping you from giving what you have?
5. Read Acts 3:16. Whose faith healed the beggar: Peter or the beggar? Talk about a time where you have stepped out in faith and offered what you had to God. What did God do?
6. Read Acts 3:11-15. What enabled Peter to speak so boldly even though he himself only weeks earlier denied Christ? Read Philippians 3:7-14. How did Paul let go of his past and focus on Christ and his future?
7. Spend that last 20-30 minutes in prayer about unleashing the Holy Spirits power in your life. Feel free to break up in groups or pray as one group.
