Life Group Questions

1.     Take some time in prayer asking God to use this life group for a breakthrough of the Holy Spirit in your lives.
2.     Read Ezekiel 37:1-14.  How did the sermon/passage of scripture speak to you?  What jumped out at you?
3.     We read in Ezekiel 37:1 that God’s hand was upon the Lord even in the midst of captivity and the valley of dry bones.  Do you think Ezekiel always felt that hand or saw the evidence?  Talk about a time when you were going through your own graveyard experience and felt or didn’t feel God’s hand.  In hindsight, can you now see God’s hand?
4.     Read again Ezekiel 37:4-8.  Why did God tell Ezekiel to prophesy (proclaim God’s word) to the bones (Israel)?  What was God’s purpose?  And how is that relevant to your life today?
5.     Read 2 Corinthians 10:5.  In what ways are you allowing your circumstances or what you can see/feel define you and lead you?  Instead of your circumstances or feelings, what promises (Word of God) is God asking you to proclaim (Prophesy) and hold on to?
6.     Read Ezekiel 37:8-9.  Sometimes we can look like we have it all together, and practically speaking we may, but still have no life within us.  What is God’s solution and how is that relevant to us today?
7.     God commands Ezekiel to pray to the Breath (which means Spirit in Hebrew) in order that the Israelites may breathe.  We also read in Acts 1:8 that we are to wait upon the Holy Spirit to that we may have power to live the life that God has called us to live.  Ask yourself:  Are you holding your breath?  What does that mean or look like?
8.     Read Ezekiel 37:11-14.  Is anyone going through a dead zone in his/her life right now?  Stop and pray for them.  In fact, stop and spend the rest of the life group in prayer for God’s spirit to fill your group and OB1 with a fresh breath!
