Life Group Questions

Announcements: (Please let the Life group know about the following announcements)

#1.Prayer and worship night this Friday 6:30pm

  1. How did God speak to you through this sermon?
  2. Read Ephesians 1:18-20; John 14:12, & Acts 1:8.  What does a life full of the power of the Holy Spirit look like and are you living it?
  3. Read Joshua 6:1-16.  God was asking Joshua to believe that He had delivered the city even though he could still see the city standing.  How is God asking you to believe in His promises even though you don’t feel or see evidence to support His promises?  For example, maybe God is asking you to believe that your service is making an impact even though you don’t see it, or maybe that He is asking you believe that He is able to restore your family or marriage even though you don’t see or feel that.
  4. In Joshua 6:3-5 God tells the Israelites to have a faith that is obedient to specific instructions to unleash His power.  Sometimes we can believe in God’s promises but not obey God’s instructions and miss out on the power of God.  What area of your life is God asking you to chose to have a faith that is more than just believing but obedient?
  5. In God’s instructions to Joshua the Jericho wall would not fall down until after the Israelites marched for 7 days around city.  So often in life we give up our faith because we fail to see the progress of our faith.  In what area of your life are you feeling like giving up for a lack of “apparent” progress?
  6.  Are you willing to metaphorically walk around the walls of your life 7 days, 7 months, 7 years or whatever it takes to receive God’s promise?
  7.  Spend some time praying for one another for the power of God to be unleashed in each other’s life and in the Church.
