When a family goes through a “storm”

Life Group Questions

1. What storms are you facing right now, or have you faced recently?

2. Have you faced or stayed in a storm of your own doing? How did that make you feel?
3. Talk about at least one way that a storm (difficult trial) led to the growth of your character. How do you think “growth” can be a shelter when it comes to your family?
4. 2 Timothy 3:16- Talk about what God is teaching and developing in you through His Book recently. If you can’t think of anything, what are you curious to learn from God through the Bible? How does or could this affect your family and your home?
5. 1 Peter 2:4-5, Hebrews 10:24-25- How have you been intentional about asking for community, even during this season of isolation? What can you do to bring value to the church and other communities for others to have a strong shelter? How do you encourage your family to be a part of church?
6. 1 Peter 2:6-7, Matthew 11:28-30- How can you remind yourself and your family to run to Jesus first instead of as a last resort? How has Jesus been leading you and your family lately, or how would you want Him to lead you and your family?
7. 1 Peter 2:9- How can you be a shelter when others are facing their storm?
